Aaliyah was an unremarkable child until a teacher found that she had a knack for calming her fellow students, ironic as she was one of the most energetic children you could know.

Since finding her skill at a young age she has been prepared for joining Starfleet, with a view to becoming a counsellor. She did well at the academy but decided that at heart she was a traveller, and as such she decided to move on to become a specialist in Post traumatic counselling.

Feeling the need to settle down a little, however, when she was offered the chance to work with the crew in and around the Astate colony she took the position and her promotion to Lieutenant.

Since joining the crew on Astate Aaliyah has been inundated with work, including the mental evaluations of the newly arrived cadets. With the building of the new campus Aaliyah has been organising and executing the orientation of the new arrivals.

Aaliyah's musical abilities have not gone unotticed and she has been asked to play at several venues, as well as having played for several morale boosting events.

Well, apart from what you know about me from up there :: points to the other RL info :: What to tell you?

I have only been back simming in UCIP for the last few months, although previous to that I was in UCIP for a couple of years, going back a few years now, playing two main characters, Nikita Terrile and Roschanna Lawrence. Obviously now I play Aaliyah Becker, Zaria Hagan, as well as a host of NPC's in the counselling department.
I am a year 3 (7&8 year olds) primary school teacher in what is known as either 'Outer London' or 'Middlesex' in a place called Hayes.
When I am not planning, marking, etc (insert big sigh here!) I enjoy doing a lot of different craft work, watching comedies and crime programmes, as well as sci fi, watching horror films, simming here snd i do enjoy the occasional drink in anywhere that has good music (I like just about anything, but i prefer rock, esp Red Hot Chili Peppers)

== Background ==

Zaria has previously been studying at the San Francisco campus on Earth.

She began her career as a Security trainee, but has recently changed career paths to counselling.

In regards her family:
Both Andrus and Azuma Hagan (her parents) are counsellors, although outside of Starfleet. They look after the son and daughter of her deceased brother, Talloc. Her niece and nephew, Kestra and Reittan, were orphaned when their father died on a training exercise with Starfleet Marines, as their human mother had died when giving birth to Kestra.
Her parents did not want either of their children to do anything other than counselling, which they felt was a natural thing for them to do, and as such were dismayed with their children's career choices. They were especially hard on Zaria's career choice after her brothers death, but since her career change to counselling they have been much happier.
