attacker, and he thinking she was completely compliant did not expect the vicious bite to his ear as she
grabbed his gun and shot him. Then turned the weapon on the others, who were too sated to do anything but watch
themselves get killed in rapid succession.

She nursed Bal'tok back to health, and helped set up new security. They placed sensor grids in the nearby asteroid
field and in orbit of one of the moons. Business was good, though there was constant pressure for more
output from the mines.

Later in her 18th year/ early 19th Starfleet Marines tracked a pirate signal and discovered the situation
on Olympus IV. The population was liberated, and Sam was taken with the Marines. Both to be debriefed, and
to keep her safe. It was clear the natives did not want her around. Bal'tok was killed in the initial raid,
leaving her free.

Sam was given warm clothes, warm food, and water, and not once was she attacked or even touch inappropriately.
She helped the Marines not only disband Bal'tok's gang, but the other rival bands in the area, navigating the
marines through the sensor grids that had been set up 2 years before. Sam has a great respect for Marines, and
is less apt to be fearful around them then around regular personnel.

She was taken to Earth, where she immediately enlisted. Not only did she want to pay back what Starfleet had done
for her by rescuing her, but what she'd learned on the short trip with the Marines had her fascinated. She was too
weak to participate in the physical activities, but Sam excelled at her training. A quick round of testing making
it clear that she should pursue a career as a yeoman.

She interacted as little as possible, use to being alone or with her owner. But she watched from the sidelines,
jealous of the 'whore like' women, with curves and painted faces. Few made an effort to know her, the deathly
skinny woman who slept on the floor instead of her bunk, and did nothing but study. She consistently forgot
to eat unless 'fed' and her combadge was programmed to beep at given intervals, to remind her to eat.

12 weeks of training and she graduated, still extremely skinny but no longer starving.

Colony established by Starfleet 212 years ago. The colony quickly became self sufficient,
communications with Starfleet decreasing greatly. 84 years ago it was overrun by pirates,
the loss of subspace communications going unnoticed.

When Bal'tok took over as head pirate on Olympus, he pulled a young female from the
slave population. Samantha was too young to remember, and does not even know her parents
names. She was trained as maid and secretary, taught how to read, how to access the
communications systems, and not only hack into rival pirates network, but to safeguard
against attacks.

Sam learned very quickly that swift obedience made life the easiest. Bal'tok had a temper,
but if things were going smoothly and she didn't disturb him she was usually left alone.
Her early childhood was spent reading his moods, and learning his pirate business.

Following him on trips to the farms and mines brought to her attention that the other slaves
did not like her. To them, she had the 'cushy' job and in comparison, she did. The rich
soil made farming easy, but Bal'tok took such a large cut, the farming slaves barely kept
themselves fed. The mines were a different story. Quotas kept increasing, and the miners were
always beaten, underfed. Children taken from their parents and moved to other areas to keep
any sense of community from starting.

Sam was horrified by these trips, practically clung to Bal'tok the first few times. She went
so far as to try and allocate more food for them, but that information wasn't in the computer,
and only served to get her a beating.

As Sam got older, Bal'tok's grip on his pirate gang weakened. Several power plays went on, the
ores of Olympus IV being the main goal. Outside pirates made attempts as well. Sam became more
and more adept at infiltrating their communications efforts, and stopped many plots before they
could begin to form.

The added stress flared Bal'tok's temper however, and Sam was often sporting bruises from his
lashing out physically. He forgot to feed her more often, and she went from severely skinny to
starved.

At 13, her gaunt frame giving tiny evidence of her womanhood, she walked in on Bal'tok masturbating.
This was not a totally unusual occurrence, and she thought nothing of it until he told her to
'take care of it'. She was confused, until he forced her hand to touch him. Then with realization
dawning, she tried to bolt, for the first time defying him. The rape and beating that followed almost killed
