	Dylan Marcus,like some others, comes from a long line of servicemen. Dylan Marcus graduated from Starfleet Academy in the top 2% of his class. Born and raised in San Fransisco Earth, Dylan had wanted nothing more than to join Starfleet and serve on a starship. Dylan applied himself tirelessly to the task of being assigned to a starship in the Confederation fleet. Graduating with honors, his hard work paid off when he was assigned to the Uss Dark Horizon; part of Starfleet's Special forces. Marcus was assigned to the USS Dark Horizon straight out the Academy. While on an away mission to Rigmami. Marcus participated in an away mission to recover vital information from the USS Rivers before it fell into Romulan hands. The mission was a success, however the mission had a high cost. A marine, one of Marcus's friends was killed in an ambush the Romulan's layed for them. Marcus is still haunted by the thought of seeing his friend murdered in front of him. Following a SFI investigation into the Dark Horizon project.
