The partially transparent, partially mirror-polished surface reflects the light of [[Hamal IV|Alpha Arietis]], giving the ensemble a golden appearance on the outside. The silver and gilt interior appears a tight fine mesh woven of threads of mirror-finish steel, but is actually crystal. From the interior surface substructures hang supported by cables or jut out on intricately shaped support poles.

The Starbase's office complexes are adaptable for the comfort of all known Federation species, and substructures can be knitted on demand for visiting dignitaries with specific environmental needs.
