Biography
Susan grew up in a completely Military in a atmosphere; her father Ben Ivoniva was always extremely tough on her. She grew up hating her father for acting more like a superior officer than a father. She always relied on her Mother for comfort and caring, and also got her half Betazoid genes from her. Ivoniva tends not to use here Telepathic abilities as she dislikes having them. She was always moving around with her Father, as her mother followed him and stood by his Career in the Starfleet Marine Corps. Susan has always been a bit on the wild side, mainly from wanting attention from her father. She tended to get into a lot of trouble when she was in her teen years, and out of a final attempt to get her fathers respect she joined the Marine Corps passing her Officer’s Training. This only seemed to make there relationship stiffer and Susan wanted as far away as possible from her parents. She signed up as a Marine on the MCS-Ithodis, where she served for a short number of years. She then decided to take a Career change from Tactical operations to Medical Operations and earned her PhD at the Marine Corps Medic School, she then returned to the MCS-Ithodis as a Marine Medic and served for another 2 years in that position. She then took up a Chief Medical Officer position on the U.s.s Tidus remaining with her Marine Commission. She enjoyed serving on the Defiant vessel a lot, it’s small compact design kept the crew close. 3 years later she accepted the Executive Officer position onboard and was devastated when the vessel was destroyed amongst a battle with the Breen, the Commanding Officer was killed and she took Command in its last minutes. Susan has always kept that experience deep down inside of her, mainly because of her close connection with the Tidus. She decided to move along and signed up on the U.s.s Hybrid as their temporary Counselor. They were in need of one and she agreed to take it as the requirements were covered under her PhD. During her time on the vessel it was taken over by a species known as “The Atlanteans” the leader of the assault was physically attracted and Ivoniva took advantage of the situation, eventually getting Intel for her comrades, however at a price of sleeping with the enemy.
Her attempts at Contraception failed as the Atlantean’s Physiology was stronger than the devises available and after they got the ship back, she found out that she was left pregnant with the Atlantean’s child. She took medical leave for quite a while as a Civilian on Starbase Aurora, but was so egger to return to duty. She signed up on the MCS-Miramar as Chief Tactical and served for a while in that position, her Tactical Operations skills proved useful to the vessel, and eventually she was asked to take the Executive Officers position onboard. She accepted however under the condition she could still remain as Chief Tactical Officer as well. She has made a close bond with Colonel Bell the Commanding Officer and the two have quite a unique relationship. She is now due in less than 2 months and is performing one last mission before taking more Medical Leave. After the Regina Campaign where the crew of the Miramar successfully stopped Lord Dirk, Susan gave birth to her half Atlantean half Betazoid baby girl named Laura. The Miramar returns to Starbase Raven and Susan takes the time for some Medical Leave while the ship receives repairs and what not.
During this time a lot of the Miramar crew gets reassigned and the Gamma Fleet 8472 incident takes place, the Miramar being inactive for most of this due to its lack of crew. After the main incidents take place Susan returns from Medical Leave to find that ACol Bell had been reassigned as well. RAdm Geneva St Clare puts her in Command and promotes her to Lieutenant Colonel. The Miramar is then sent on an Aftermath patrol of the sector to find any leftover 8472 vessels that could potentially cause problems. After a long and boring patrol they finally detect a vessel and manage to destroy it, after a majority of damage is done to the ship. They return to Starbase Raven and Susan decides that her daughter should stay there with her mother, not wanting the dangers of Marine life to bring any harm to her. It isn't long before the crew of the Miramar find themselves enjoying some brief relaxation and R&R after their encounter with the remaining 8472 vessel. It also isn't long before the crew of the Miramar gets themselves into some trouble as well, having been provoked by a certain number of Security Officers onboard Raven. Lieutenant Kovothna leads a team and engages in some revenge for this prank that has been played on them, trying to cover it up so that they wouldn't be to blame for this retaliation. Suzanna, the Chief of Security on the Miramar, being the efficient and well rounded officer she is manages to dig up and find out some of the culprits, one of them being Kovothna. Lieutenant Colonel Ivoniva puts them in the brig and goes to deal with the clean up of this event. Soon after, in the middle of their remaining R&R, RAdm Geneva St Clare calls Susan to her office on urgent business. Their next mission was amidst them and Susan would face one of the dearest challanges of her life, putting her very sanity to the test.
The Miramar is sent beyond the Federation borders to a planet known as Sedalia IV a potential and enthusiastic group of almost Federation members, the official paper work having yet to be completed. Their world being threatened by their Celiac neighbours who do not want the borders of the Federation extended near them. Negotiations seem useless and a ground defence is set up along with a space defence, the Miramar leading that particular unit under Susan's command. The ship takes a hell of a beating and the battle looks grim, Susan resorting to activating the Planetary Assault Pod in their last defence. Amongst other dire issues this stressful and insane battle ends with Marine Captain Suzanna finding weird Celiac experiments on the Sedalian planet. In the end it turns out that the Sedalian government is corrupt and that they have been planning the destruction of their Celiac neighbours, hoping to use the Federation once they were members to do so. Susan manages to call a cease fire with the Celiac and bring peace back to the situation, the Miramar have been beaten to hell at this point. Susan had lost it for a while as well, the stress of it all weighing on her shoulders. She manages in the end to hold it together and reports back to Starbase 12, reporting back to a pleased Admiral St Clare who was proud of her conduct in the situation. There she receives a promotion to full Commanding Officer of the Miramar as well as the provisional rank of Acting Colonel to go along with the now confirmed position. She at this point feels a deep connection with her vessel and crew and has become comfortable with Commanding a Starship. Both her and Kovothna, once the Miramar engages full R&R state along with extensive repairs take off on a nice vacation to a planet where they are pampered by various hot hot men. After returning from their vacation, things don't remain so nice and calm as they had been on the man slave planet. Susan and the Miramar are recruited by Gamma Fleet Intelligence and are sent on a very dangerous mission near the Romulan Border to retake an old abandoned listening post that had been commandeered by convicted and very dangerous/experienced criminals. It is during the end of this mission that Susan gets pretty badly hurt, taking a nasty blow to the head. She wakes up when most of it has been dealt with and is very pleased and impressed to learn that her new recently promoted First Officer managed things excellently. It is after this however, that she thinks about her little daughter Laura and contemplates the dangers of Command and how often it keeps her away from being able to see her daughter grow. After their return to Starbase Raven, Susan gets paid a visit by Admiral St Clare and the two share a more heart to heart conversation. In the end Susan finds it best that she steps down as Commanding Officer of the Miramar and takes some Medical Leave to recover and re-connect with her daughter and mother. St Clare finds this the right course of action as well and besides saddened to loose Susan as CO she wishes her the best and confirms her Medical Leave and resignation.
Physical Description
Susan is a very tall female, she gets it from her mother (who is also taller than her father). She may look very slim to the naked eye but beneath the clothing Susan is a built tank ready for action, credit going to her Marine Training or that. She had long sleek, silky and shiny blond hair complimented by a fair and perfect skin complexion. This all builds in nicely with her gorgeous and almost perfect smile. She would be considered a very attractive female.
Personality Profile
Susan has a wide array of personality extensions. Generally put into a position of authority she can live up to the responsibility of having to give a stiffer hand towards her peers. However Susan has also been known to withhold her kind and humorous nature towards her officers. She's a very professional person when it comes to her work and things have to be done correctly, there is no space for slackers in Susan's eyes. She's grown up quite a bit and her personality along with that, having had to become and experience a fair duration as a commanding officer. This reflects heavily on the person that Susan has become.
