Background

Zaria has previously been studying at the San Francisco campus on Earth.

She began her career as a Security trainee, but has recently changed career paths to counselling.

In regards her family: Both Andrus and Azuma Hagan (her parents) are counsellors, although outside of Starfleet. They look after the son and daughter of her deceased brother, Talloc. Her niece and nephew, Kestra and Reittan, were orphaned when their father died on a training exercise with Starfleet Marines, as their human mother had died when giving birth to Kestra. Her parents did not want either of their children to do anything other than counselling, which they felt was a natural thing for them to do, and as such were dismayed with their children's career choices. They were especially hard on Zaria's career choice after her brothers death, but since her career change to counselling they have been much happier.
