It should be noted that Miranda's educational history has never been fully mapped out, besides attending El-Auria University(Learned on the wiki) it is unknown what University in the Federation she attended and where she did her ROTC if she ever did. It has been stated multiple times that Miranda did not attend Starfleet Academy(Or never graduated), and went to an Earth school for a B.A in history and did her law studies at another university in England (Her J.D is hinted to be from Oxford since she has voiced her distain for Cambridge University). She has also been called an "Ivy League snob", which if taken word for word, suggests that her B.A is from an Ivy League University. | |||

Biography
Further Updates Pending with Progression of Character
Early Life
Miranda Xavier was born in 1850 to two parents on El-Auria. An intrepid soul in her youth, Miranda liked to chart planets with her father and later attended Law school and has a degree from the El-Aurian University of the Arts along with her Law Degree.
Miranda traveled far and wide during this period and has been to worlds yet to be discovered by the Federation. She also visited Earth during this time but found it "Utterly Painful" because of it's underdeveloped technology and culture.
Miranda essentially grew up an only child as both of her sisters were born more then 40 years after her and rarely saw her sisters until the turn of the 20th century. So after a fashion, Miranda is indeed an only child.
Travels
Miranda has been Galloping across the Galaxy for the last 500 years, seeing worlds "You can sparsely imagine" and "Corners of the galaxy with utter terrifying wonder". Miranda spent the bulk of the 20th century near what is now known as Romulan Space and has hinted that she was the one who tipped off the Romulans about Earth. She has earned a great respect among Romulans and is a type of legendary figure to Romulans near the Neutral Zone.
Miranda has showed off her adept sense of Archeology during this era and headed a small crew of people who helped her on her journeys and enterprises into the far reaches of known space. Miranda based her Enterprises off an El-Aurian Diplomatic Barge called the Tantive until about 2143 during a mission deep into the Beta Quadrant. According to Miranda the ship and it's crew was destroyed while on an expedition to a Derelict ship, leaving Miranda the sole survivor.
Miranda later returned to El-Auria and acquired a smaller yacht built by her Family's Engineers at their Manor on El-Auria, opting for a smaller crew of about two or three and with Bots and Holograms functioning as the bulk of the small ship's compliment.
After that, Miranda opens up more and tells grand stories of her times jumping across the Galaxy till 2189 where her ship was blown up in a "Serious misunderstanding".
Miranda was in Orbit during the Borg Attack of El-Auria, and was one of the few survivors to break orbit in time before Borg Cubes eliminated most orbiting installations and ships before assimilating the planet of over 19 Billion.
Miranda then found her self in her old proving grounds of the Alpha Quadrant and made first contact with Starfleet in 2255 and offered insight into El-Aurian Culture before joining Starfleet.
Starfleet Careers and Beyond
Miranda joined Starfleet during it's Golden Age in the mid 23rd century and had several illustrious assignments during this era most notably the Command of the USS Endeavour NCC 1895-A and the assignment on Starbase 47 in the Tarus Reach.
The Golden Age
Mirand served durring the Starfleet Golden Age of the mid to late 23rd century and played an intrical part in this changing and exciting period Starfleet History buffs love to ask her about. After going through Starfleet Academy and a Federation Law School, Miranda joined the JAG corps of the Federation in 2366 and was assigned to Starbase 47 also known as Vanguard Station in the Tarus Reach, one of the most important assignments of her career. Miranda remained on base through several tense situations, including the Shedai crisis and the high tensions between the Tholians and the Klingons over the region. Miranda rose to Lieutenant Commander in 2368 and her career plateaued for the next ten years, opting not to take the bridge officer's examn until 2378 when she was awarded the rank of Commander at Starfleet Command, where Miranda would spend most of her careers and has called it "A Prison and one of the most exciting assignments in the book!".
Winding Down

After her fast track career at Starbase Vanguard and her first assignment at Starfleet Command, Miranda's career fell into a kind of disarray, serving on several low end positions for a while until the Kitomer Talks in which she played a hand. After she was assigned to the USS Endevour where she would remain until the Tomed Incident, commanding the vessel for six years and making a heavy mark on the galaxy before retiring.
The Lost Era
Multiple Records can be found of Miranda during this period, most infamously of an incident on Ferenginar where she was a commissioner for the FCA for five years before being thrown in prison and later released after she bribed the gaurds.
Back to the Fleet
Miranda returned to Starfleet in 2364 and stayed for 11 years before taking off once more. She held a plethora of assignments in this era and acted mostly as a JAG officer and an advisor and tactician to Starfleet Command durring the Dominion War save commanding the USS Prometheus during the Battle of Cardassia Prime.

Miranda served on Utopia Planitia for one year as a Lieutenant Commander and was later transfered to Starbase Kalandra on her completion on the 24th century's Starfleet Bridge Officer's exam which she needed to take because of her status as a Staff officer and not of bridge duty.
After Starbase Kalandra, Miranda was assigned to the USS Constitution NCC 1700-C as their Judge Advocate with a fast promotion to her old rank of Captain. Serving on the Constitution on their five year mission around and abroad Federation Space.
For the remainder of her career after, Miranda held a position at Starfleet Command.
A Time for War, A Time for Peace
Miranda Rejoined Starfleet in 2398 with the Rank of Captain and remained a tactician at Starfleet command for most of this time, acting as a Legal advisor to tactical choices made by Starfleet Command.

Romulan Wars
During the two Romulan wars within this time, Miranda acted with distinction as her role as a Legal Tactical adivsor to Command. Miranda's life during this time was turbulent, loosing a great many friends to the initial Romulan onslaught. During the Command all hands on deck during the Yadalla Front, most of the Captains of Starfleet Command was reassigned to newly completed vessels out of Utopia Planitia. Miranda was assigned as the Captain of the USS Yorktown and fought during the battle of Yadalla and several more battles there after for another five weeks.

With Tragedy there also came relief, Miranda became acquainted with the Intrepid and cow boyish Captain Alexander Albright and the two formed a love/hate relationship. Most of their relationship consisted of arguments over legal and tactical choices and over time, it led to a compulsive kiss between the two.
Miranda was Promoted to Fleet Captain at the end of the Second Romulan/UFP war and headed the Tactical Communications and Logistics center at Starfleet Command for the next two years.
Miranda was given Command of the Yorktown on it's mission to deep space exploration in 2403 and remained in Command for the next five years, serving through the Second Dominion War and several other crisis’s including the Krivaldi threat. Miranda is credited with first contact with three new species over the five year period and the Yorktown now bears a lounge on deck 3 in Miranda's honor called "The Xavier Lounge".
After the peace treaty Miranda retired for the third time and has stated she is unlikely to return to Starfleet.

Personality

Miranda is shall we say unique in her personality. She has more angles to her personality then a Bolian Hyptosphere and can be a calm and wise El-Aurian and can also be the stuck up rank obsessed officer she used to be. Miranda is a demanding woman, always making sure she is known when she walks into a room. Miranda is also quite serious most of the time and is overtly critical of everything around her and isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Miranda has constructed her personality as so...
"I'm a no-nonsense, eccentric, fun loving, contradiction riddled, intrepid, cavalier, and domineering woman. In other words if you cross my path you'll either get your head chopped off or you'll be given some very wise advice from a calm and cool headed El-Aurian."(Sun Serpent (Plot))

Hobbies/Interests

Wine and Fine drinks are among Miranda's many vices and keeps a respectable collection of rare and exotic liquors in her lavishly decorated quarters.(Sun Serpent (Plot)) She enjoys watching FNN but considers it to be slightly biased towards the "Utopia" feel of the Federation.
Investments
Miranda's senses as an accountant still linger and has bought several properties on Earth, her latest is a small chateau just outside of Bordeaux, France.
Fencing & Sword Fighting
Miranda is an expert fencer and quick and agile in her jabs and parry's. Unusually enough, Mirand fights without a head guard and prefers her hair and face to remain open as in real sword combat. Mirand is also adept with a Bat'leth and quicker then most with the bulky Klingon weapon.
Shooting
Being an excellent marksman, Miranda enjoys a good phaser match and is fond of grand firefights and scenic battles, opting for stylish and grand kills and shots rather then blunt killing.
Piloting
Miranda is also an accomplished pilot and qualified for numerous types of fighters including the Starfleet Valkyrie fighter.
