A rare marine animal, similar in appearance to the extinct Terran ichthyosaurs.

Between 7-12 meters in length and ranging in colours from a mottled blue/grey to shades of turquoise and purple, the nuuhko's diet consists mostly of fish and clams though it has been observed feeding on seaweeds as well.

Highly intelligent and playful, nuuhko have been known to trail sail boats and trying to engage the passengers, and scuba divers report the inquisitive animals to behave like 'oversized puppies'.
