Christopher Morgan was born SD237406.16 in Toronto on Earth, where his family has lived for centuries, since Earth's third world war. Christopher's parents, however, seemed to be rare visitors to the family home, and Christopher hardly saw them during most of his developmental years. Both of his parents were professors in astromineralogy, and they were frequently gone on deep space excursions to collect samples and do other scientific work. Thus, Christoper and his older sister, Jennifer, spent most of their childhood with their aunt, leaving Christopher few memories of his parents. It was on SD237805.23, when Christopher was almost five years old, that his family learned that his parents' research vessel stumbled upon a previously unknown Borg transwarp conduit. Aside from a brief general distress call, the Morgans have not been heard from since, and their vessel has never been found. It is unknown if they are alive in another quadrant of the galaxy, killed, or, worse, assimilated by the Borg. Since the incident, Christopher's sister, Jennifer, has become one of the most influential people in his life.

Biography

Early Years

Christoper Morgan was born on SD237406.16 in Toronto, Earth, where his family has lived for generations. Unfortunately, he was the son of two university professors, which meant that he rarely saw his parents. Both being astro-mineralogists, they were often away on prolonged deep-space missions conducting scientific research. So Christopher and his sister, Jennifer, spent a lot of time under the guardianship of his aunt, and while Christopher of course loved her, he always longed for the company of his parents. The few memories he did have with his parents he cherished closely. However, disaster struck on SD238411.07, when Christopher was ten years old. Christopher's parents were on a research mission in the Altani sector when their ship accidently caused an uncharted Borg trans-warp conduit to open. This is what Federation investigators assumed happened at least, based on their ship's flight itinerary and strong quantum delta-band radiation at the frequency known to be associated with Borg vessels. Investigators were not able to locate the Morgans or there ship, so it is unknown if they traveled through the Borg conduit to another part of the galaxy, were killed, or, even worse, assimilated by the Borg. Although traumatizing, Christopher seemed by all outward signs to have coped well with the situation, given the circumstances. However, inside, Christopher was broken, and his grief was so overwhelming that he buried it deep in the recesses of his mind, along with a deep hatred for the Borg. He resolved to go on with his life as best he could without being scarred by the incident, and, for the most part, he was successful. Much of his ability to cope came from the support of Jennifer, and she remains to be one of the most esteemed and influential people in Christopher's life.

The remainder of Christopher's childhood and adolescence can be considered nothing less than happy. While it cannot be said that Christopher was the most popular among his peers, he was well liked by all, and he got along fine in high school. Christopher seemed to attract friends by his sympathetic personality, and most people felt he really understood them. Despite being socially well-adjusted, Christopher valued his personal time. He would often spend time alone walking through nature, looking up at the stars and probably wondering if his parents were out there. Space always fascinated Christopher, and if not for his parents, then for his curious and exploratory nature, he wanted to be out there.

Starfleet Academy

On SD239605.26 Christopher graduated third in his class, with honors in psychology. Christopher also graduated with specializations in first-aid medicine and astrometrics. But it was psychology that Christopher loved, and he had studied to be a counselor. Christopher took a two-year leave before enrolling in Starfleet to study interspecies communication on Bajor. It was there, on SD239804.16, that Christopher wrote and, surprisingly, published a paper about crew morale on deep-space missions.

U.S.S. Montana

SD240109.08: While on a diplomatic mission, the Montana is hijacked by a group of Binars. While Binars are usually a peaceful people, this group was exiled from the Binar home world for not desiring to be paired with another Binar. The exiled Binars planned to use the Montana for dissident activities on Binar. Counselor Morgan showed great inventiveness and creativity in successfully negotiating the release of the Montana by appealing to the Binar's sense of logic and, at the same time, soothing their uncharacteristic hostile emotions. Morgan was commended for diffusing a possible deadly situation, saving the Montana and her crew.

U.S.S. Sydney

SD240510.12: Counselor Morgan is transferred to the U.S.S. Sydney as Head Counselor after the U.S.S. Montana is decommissioned.

SD240607.13: The U.S.S. Sydney encounters an anomalous spacial disturbance. The remaining details of this mission are classified.

Celes 4

SD240803.15: Counselor Morgan serves as special advisor to Admiral Bowie in guiding Celes 4 for entry into the Federation.

Psychological Evaluation

SD239807.14: Counselor Morgan is an exemplary Starfleet officer with few personal issues. He is well-adjusted, has a great capacity for empathy and understanding of others, and he exhibits almost no neurotic thinking. He is a calm, happy, and warm person to be around. Starfleet medical, makes note, however, that Counselor Morgan is reluctant to talk about his childhood, and he adopts a very cold demeanor when talking about the Borg, which is not congruent with his overall personality profile. Starfleet medical advises caution in situations of any kind that involve Counselor Morgan and the Borg. We consider him an unpredictable and unstable element in this situation. However, Morgan is suited for and psychological able to confront all other duties expected of a Starfleet Officer.

SD240910.27: Counselor Morgan is able to cope and adapt to prolonged deep-space missions.
