Biography

Lhaetan, fourth and youngest son of the Valkar house, grew up in a fairly ordinary home on Ch'Rihan. His father had been elected to the Lower Senate long before his birth, and his mother had dedicated her later life to the rearing of their children. While being the youngest son, he began showing intellectual aptitudes at a a very early age, easily passing his d'sora testing. After being written into the family history he began his lessons in more conventional subjects.

By his early teens he showed a great interest in the arts, enjoying reading the great epics of dozens of worlds. His favorites include The Dream of Fire by K'Ratak of Quo'nos and the Homerian epics The Iliad and The Odyssey (though he'd probably never admit to anyone). He also proved competent in the martial skills, preferring the use of a blade over hand-to-hand combat.

At the age of 18, upon completing his formal education, Lhaetan entered into the service of the Rhiannsu military, as compelled by law. Being as well versed with the works of other races, and having some intuition regarding their values based on these works, Lhaetan had started down the path towards service as a Kiith'Auethnen (Diplomatic Advisor); however, near the beginning of his second year of training he was approached by a recruiter from the Tal Diann.

The young Rhiannsu quickly found himself en route to Coravus Prime. The following months he spent undergoing a grueling indoctrination. His knowledge of alien species and governments was expanded upon and increased exponentially. He excelled in learning the intricacies of their bureaucracies and technologies.

A year after his induction into the Tal’Diann, Lhaetan found himself graduating from his training and allowed to return back home on Ch’Rihan, where he enjoyed three weeks of leave while his superiors decided on an assignment for him.
