Lyrila is a class M planet located within the Beta Quadrant and well beyond the back edges of the Romulan Star Empire. The planet is inhabited by a long lived species called the Lyrillians. It is believed that the Lyrillians were given a great deal of technology by an advanced species to prevent a cataclysm that would have resulted in the Lyrillian extinction.
