Named after the USS Archer's Commanding Officer by a bunch of fighter jocks knee deep in tribbles, Korathine was one of many results of a diplomat's pets getting loose on board said vessel.
Rescued from becoming a Denobulan Lemur's impromptu lunch for eating an Efrosian's Levithi nuts, a thoroughly spayed and neutered Korathine ended up in Roxanne Lafleur's keeping. When her teenage daughter took an instant liking to the little furball, Roxanne gladly let her have the 'fluffy warrior'.
Korathine has been JoJo's faithful companion throughout the academy, and is known to be better at detecting Klingon Bloodwine than the most carefully calibrated tricorder. She is also happy to assist in counseling sessions, be it by purring, being cute, or providing the odd bit of comical relief.
