Sha'amii

A mountain goat-like animal indigenous to the Nal'Shin Highlands. Prized for its soft wool, often refered to as 'Vulcan cashmere'. Hardy and nimble, the Sha'amii can subsist quite well on a diet of thistles and shrubs, but there are domesticated varieties (often distinguished by the different spelling "sham'amii") that appreciate a handful of grain. The Sham'amii are taller and more stocky than their wild and semi-wild cousins and are kept for their milk.
