The USS Crazy Horse is an award winning PBem (play by email/post) simulation in UCIP. Overall UCIP has a very rich and in depth simming environment for anyone interested in the details of Star Trek but it’s also simple enough for the casual writer. Our motto is that simming is an escape from real life but not a substitute. We all are here to enjoy ourselves, not find more work.
Set in 2015 where the Federation has just been devastated and weakened by a short civil conflict. Resources are spread thin and Starfleet has had to consolidate both fleets and personnel. Member worlds concerned about the state of the Federation have started to slowly trickle away. A slow ebb of sickness has slowly begun enveloping the heart of democracy in the Alpha Quadrant and the time couldn't be worse. With a strengthened Empire the new Klingon Chancellor's territorial ambition has brought them into conflict with the Romulan Star Empire. As the turmoil spreads there is a renewed call for Starfleet to decrease it's proclivity for military resolution and seek out alternatives: To renew the old focus on exploration, scientific research, and peaceful diplomatic initiatives.
This chaotic universe is where the Crazy Horse and her crew reside.
If someone asked me ‘what is the USS Crazy Horse?’ my answer would be that the Crazy Horse is a community of friends who get together to write and have fun in the exciting world of Star Trek.
