Current Plot: Penumbra

With the construction of the new IRW Aylhr nearing completion, Galae'EnRiov Shiarrael t'Rehu visits the Jezerek shipyards to tour the vessel. During her inspection, she uncovers a conspiracy within elements of the Galae command staff to block a particular officer from consideration as Aylhr’s commander—the son of the disgraced former Galae'EnRiov Ameh'ha t'Neyl. Recognizing the move as an attempt by the Zorek clan to expand its influence within the Galae, she overrides the objections and appoints Riov Rhae'go tr'Neyl to command the warbird.

Meanwhile, on the neutral zone world of Eternity, Zorek Senator Chavek tr'Parneas is murdered while visiting the war graves of his sons. The news is quietly suppressed pending further investigation. Suspecting a wider plot, Fifth Fleet commander Khre'Riov Raha t'Nanclus discreetly dispatches the newly commissioned IRW Aylhr and her crew to uncover the truth.

During her visit to Jezerek Shiarrael uncovers a conspiracy among some of the Galae's command staff to remove a candidate from consideration for commanding the Aylhr.  That candidate?  The son of the disgraced former Galae'EnRiov Ameh'ha t'Neyl.  Seeing the situation as an attempt by the Zorek clan to exert influence in the Galae she decides to appoint Riov [[Rhae'go tr'Neyl]] to command the Aylhr over the objections.  The appointment surprises many within the Galae and many consider the appointment one of the Galae EnRiov's eccentric whims.
