A Vaek'Riov in the Romulan Star Navy and cousin of Shiarrael t`Rehu.

Born to Teelis t`Sahen and the Vulcan Somok, Itsak was considered a blemish on his house by Teelis' father, the Rei’Krannsu EnRiov Jamor tr`Sahen. When Somok abandoned Teelis and Itsak for unkown reasons, and Itsak's mother died soon after, the infuriated Jamor tr`Sahen refused to raise the halfbreed child and instead brought him to the s`Rehu estate to ask Shiarrael's mother Nhasaen to look after him.

Prevented from joining the Rei’Krannsu, Itsak found unexpected help from his aunt and grand-uncle (former Galae En’Riov tr`Rehu) and was sponsored by the latter to enter War College, and eventually the Galae.

While the relationship between Itsak and his cousin Shiarrael was turbulent, there was genuine affection on both sides and Shiarrael would often come to Itsak's defense when he was shunned by his peers, while Itsak attmpted to protect Shiarrael from the consequences of her often impulsive actions, eventually conceding that his efforts to steer her towards more responsible behavior were in vain.

The cousins' paths should diverge for many years, as Shiarrael pursued her chosen path - unsurprisingly, one fraught with much tumult - and Itsak advanced through the ranks by virtue of sheer determination and skill. In some ways the unremarked opposite of his oft brilliant, always passionate cousin, Itsak gained a reputation as being an unreadable, unpredictable commander posessed of fierce discipline and a penchant for ruthlessness.

Unknown to his adopted family, Itsak harbored a deep hatred for his father's species, and over the years conceived a plan for vengeance. The means for such an undertaking came within his reach when he appropriated the Memento Mori Virus from rogue elements in the Eastern Empire and was able to deceive the IRW Endless Sky's Tal'Shiar political officer long enough to retain a sample.

An unexpected reunion with his cousin should occur in 2409, when the by then exiled Shiarrael served as Captain of the Federation Starship USS Charon, sent to explore a stellar nursery on the far side of Romulan space, but in fact on a mission to find the lost Vulcan science vessel Temep`Shar.
