Brent Warren grew up a normal life on Gilamesh-9. His childhood was extremly uneventful. The planet itself with its high gravity made way for extremly strong humans with fast reflexes. The result being an almost Marine mentality that was the norm for the entire planet. Once Brent turned 13 years old he knew exactly what he was going to do, join the SFMC.

Biography

Brent grew up on a farm in the northern continent of the Gilgamesh-9 colony. His father Waldmer and his mother Lydia were both natives to the planet who could trace their lineage back to the crash landing and the isolation that followed. The family farm had been in the family for that entire time, and it was a source of great pride for most of the Warren family. Tradition was a large part of the family that Brent grew up in. Brent's family believed that they had a duty to help maintain the colony in the face of people leaving to join Starfleet or simply to get away. A part of the duty was steeped in the tradition of having large families in the past.

The result was that Brent had nine siblings. He had five brother's and four sisters. The eldest brother James was set to inherit the family farm and seemed to be perfectly fine for James. Being the exact middle child, Brent began to rebel against the wishes of his parents. Unlike his two brothers and two sisters who were older than him, Brent hated the work on the farm and the idea of living on the colony for the rest of his life. His stubborn attitude and a willingness to speak his mind, inherited from his father and mother respectively, put him at odds constantly with his parents from the age of twelve on.

Brent's independance provoked similar thoughts from his younger sibilings who saw him act out against his parents. Eventually Brent's father had enough of his harsh words and talk of life amongst the stars, and told Brent to go join Starfleet. Waldmer and Lydia were both from the colony and had met in Starfleet. Eventually they had both gotten tired of life out there and had come back to the colony. Brent's parents both felt that in time, Brent would be the same. Two of their older children had done just that and had come back to the colony...

Brent began practicing and working out everyday with his classmates and began to almost train early. He still enjoyed a normal life of cutting high school classes, dating girls, and crashing the family hovercar at 16. Around a month after he had graduated from high school, Brent enlisted in the Starfleet Marines. Probably a day or two before his father would have booted him out.

Brent felt that Boot Camp itself would be a walk in the park compared to what he had endured on his home planet. The gravity differances would make walking around and running and drills at Boot extremly easy... Once the DI's however discovered why Brent was doing so well, they gave him a gravity belt removing the edge, if not made things worse by making the gravity of a higher level than what we had experianced back home.

After boot camp Brent he was placed into a Marine unit and spent most of his time there until the Second Dominon War and Brent saw much heavy fighting across the battle lines. After the war itself, Brent found himself reassigned to a new unit, and eventually found his way onto the USS-Charon.

Initally Brent was happy to have finally found his way into a Sergeant's position, looking forward to more responsability. Soon afterwords though he was promoted to Brevet First Lieutenant however, and became an officer. The original officer had suffered a nervous breakdown, and the replacement was still a third year Cadet.

It was around this time that he began a romantic relationship with the charon's chief helms officer. Despite problems from other officers not liking the Second Officer and the Marine Commander together, their feelings only strengthening as time has passed.

Medical History

"One of the best examples of a fit Marine fresh out of boot." Is one of the many glowing reports the young Brent recieved after he left Boot Camp.

He wears the gravity belt on him at all times, even though when he goes out on missions he deactivates it to give him a supernatural edge in terms of strength and speed. The recruit sleeps with it on and exercises with it to help maintain his level of fitness and supernatural strength.

Other Notes

Note: Character's race is not my design. The idea for the Gilgamesh humans were the idea of Major General Jeremy Ironside. All of this is his writing not mine.

As part of Earth's early exploration and colonization efforts, numerous DY-210 warp sleeper vessels were sent out to locate and colonize various planets outside of Earth's sphere of influence. One such freighter arrived in the Gilgamesh system in 2072 with the intent of colonizing the eighth planet in the system. However, a navigational computer malfunction instead brought the ship into orbit around the much larger and denser ninth planet. Before the crew was fully awake and realized what had happened, the ship's landing sequence had begun.

The crew was unable to compensate for the much higher than predicted gravity of the planet and the ship landed very roughly. Unable to lift off again, and with their communication equipment damaged, the colonists were forced to set up their colony in the much, much higher gravity of Gilgamesh Nine. Only the most physically fit colonists could barely function in the extremely high gravity, and the majority of the colony died as a result. Those who survived, however, were able to get a self-sustaining colony constructed.

The colony, because it was never able to communicate its somewhat successful landing on the ninth planet, was largely forgotten for more than 100 years. It wasn't until 2312 that the colony was rediscovered when a colony-ship bound for the eight planet received a weak subspace message from the Gilgamesh Nine colony. Slowly, the colony was integrated into the Federation.

Over the years, the colonists had adapted to the intense gravity. Their muscles had become ultra dense in order to facilitate functioning normal to that found on 1g planets. This gave the colonists superhuman strength (although somewhat clumsy, initially) off of their own planet. This made the planet a gold mine for the Starfleet Marine Corps.
